Linda Benson of Sequim finally connects with Vincent Duncan Monroe’s family after spending decades seeking the airman whose 1968 Vietnam War POW bracelet she wore. Monroe, a Navy commander, was lost when his plane was shot down near Vinh Son and buried at Arlington years later. Benson mailed the bracelet’s ornamental band to Monroe’s daughter in Salt Lake City, hoping for a final reunion.

Mystery death of newborn orca off Dungeness Spit
