Wilson Cory and Wife Have A Novel Trip
Mr and Mrs Wilson Cory residents of Anderson Indiana travel by prairie schooner drawn by two horses. They left Hot Springs Arkansas on May 28 1922 to reach the Gulf of Mexico by wagon route and are proceeding via a nine state overland trip. The couple plan to settle again in Anderson after visiting Middletown where they will celebrate.

Corys Celebrate Birthday Anniversary with Relatives
Mrs. Cory marked a birthday anniversary visiting relatives while Mr. Cory noted repeated interviews and photographs along their route. The couple stayed with their daughter and son in law Mr. and Mrs. Jasper N. Keesling just north of Middletown.

Building Oven Workmen are engaged in a new oven for the J. W. Jeffers bakery at the Jones building on State street. The room will be remodeled and finished in first class condition. The front will serve as a retail store boosting town business.

Fred Ackles buys Falls City Grocery of Oldham and Phillips. Ackles takes possession Monday with Mr Oldham staying on awhile and Miss Helen Mowery retained. Ackles has prior merchant work in Pendleton Kokomo Sharpsville Indianapolis and Stella Taylor property on East State Street. He is described as a good business man and a valued local citizen. Mr Friedline spent Sunday at Kentland with family.

Mrs Lydia A Thomas died at her Pendleton home on Sunday night at 9 20 age 78 born in Ripley county moved to Rush county married John Thomas. The couple lived in Pendleton Indianapolis and Springfield Ills before returning to Pendleton and they had no children. Funeral at 1 oclock Tuesday Rev C W Marlow officiating burial in east Groveland.
