Community Art Exhibition Shines At Pendleton Fair
The Pendleton community fair showcased strong stock and a standout art exhibit on October 12 13 and 14. Highlights included etchings by George Fawcett paintings by Dean Korach 47 Medici prints and student works from Pendleton High School judged by Miss Dorothy. Prizes went to Mrs. Wilson Newton Mrs. Harriet Thomas Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Darlington with high school honors for Ruth Dickenson Eleanor Corrie Mildred Longtoft and Alberta New.

Old Landmark Saw Mill Moves From Hunstville
The 60 year old saw mill at Hunstville built in 1860 by Benj Aiman has been sold by Geo A Phipps to Mack Busby of Hamilton and is being relocated. The mill burned in 1888 and twice under Phipps tenure, cutting many local barns and buildings.

Ads Refused For Lack Of Space By The Times
The Times refused more than 70 inches of advertising last week. An out-of-town Pendleton dry goods house was turned away due to a contract with a local Pendleton store. A second ad from an automobile painting concern was refused for lack of space, and a third from a shoe house was rejected. All advertisers were from outside the town.

Girl breaks arm in horse fall near Noah Vernon farm
Laura Belle Wood six year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Clifford Wood south of town fell from a horse at the Noah Vernon farm Saturday evening breaking her arm between the elbow and wrist.

State to reroute Pendleton Pike through reformatory grounds
County commissioners hear Joseph E. Hennings and Fred Friedline propose vacation of the highway through the new reformatory grounds and opening a parallel route from McCarty corner toward Idlewold. If approved, the state may take over the road from Indianapolis to Pendleton and connect to regional paved corridors.
