Man Killed at Ingalls Wednesday Afternoon
Park M. Graham a 61 year old truck man from Muncie was killed instantly at the Main street crossing in Ingalls when his truck stopped on the Big Four tracks before the South-western limited No 11. The locomotive struck and mangled his body as debris lined the tracks for three blocks. Identification was made by a local coroner using a bank check found on the victim. The body was sent to Muncie for burial.

Five Car Train Carries Indiana Legislature To Anderson
The first five car passenger train in Indiana passed Pendleton on Wednesday night carrying Indiana Legislature members from Indianapolis to Anderson for a banquet honoring Alvin Owsley national commander of the American Legion. The consist had two steel motors and three trailers under one motorman. The five red cars drew crowds along streets and at the station.

The Mars Theatre changes hands with the Benefiels selling to Michigan buyers. Ronald Bassett of Bridgman will manage the Pendleton Theatre, relocate to Pendleton, and occupy the Mellinger property on Pearl Street. The theatre will run until about March 10, then close two weeks for remodeling including a new screen, redecorated interior, new front, and two modern projection machines.

Mrs. Lottie Elvin Dead in Pendleton Home
Mrs. Lottie Elvin aged 71 wife of James Elvin died suddenly at her south West street home Tuesday morning at 10 00. She had been ill but was improving and was found lifeless by her husband after breakfast. She leaves the husband daughter Mrs. Frank Pickett and several step children. Funeral services were held at the residence Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev J Orr Powell with burial in Grovelawn cemetery. Mr and Mrs I G Davis and daughter Ruby depart for Miami Florida for the winter.
