Sixth District Pythian Sisters Convene in Pendleton
The Sixth District Convention held in Castle Hall Pendleton drew over two hundred members from Indianapolis Richmond Anderson Crawfordsville Dana and other state points. Dinner and supper were provided by the M E Church Aid Society. Afternoon sessions covered convention work and in the evening two candidates Amos Quick Crawfordsville and Mrs Fred Lund Pendleton were conferred by the Richmond lodge. Counties represented included Howard Tipton Hamilton Wayne Henry Delaware Jay Randolph and Madison.

Opening Game for Huntsville Greys Opens Season
The Huntsville Greys hosted the Florida team at Taylor's field in their season debut. In new uniforms funded by Lewis Bros Pendleton the Greys won 11 to 7 as C Rummel and G Rummel led the lineup with Manuel Brooks Scott and Davis contributing solidly. Attendance was strong and optimism high for the season.

In Pendleton Indiana a valley farm community nurtured a Vocational Agriculture program starting in 1913 led by Mr Abbott and expanded under school supervision. Enrollment grew from 12 to 33, with Home Economics and club work fueling the Pendleton Community Fair and local agricultural culture.

Deeds Filed for Reformatory Land Near Town
State filed deeds with the County Recorder Friday covering land for the Reformatory south of town totaling about 1010 acres and a total transfer value of 174841.50. The parcels include farms listed by owner name and acreage such as Junction farm 400 acres and Traction Land Company 32.6 acres. Construction plans show temporary buildings for prisoners from Jeffersonville with kitchens dining rooms and power house walls. Nine cars of lumber were bought and firms in Pendleton Indianapolis and Newcastle received allocations.
