Funeral Held in Athena for Mia. Anna Kirk who died at Pacific Grove, Cal after living in Athena since 1863. Her husband T. J. Kirk built Athena's first house and she leaves nine children including Mrs Alice Ackles of La Grande and Miss Anna Kirk of Pacific Grove. Floral tributes noted. Notice is hereby given that the Board of Equalization for Umatilla County Oregon will meet at the courthouse in Pendleton on the third Monday in October 1907 and publicly examine the assessment rolls correct all errors in valuation description or quality of lands lots or other property assessed by me It shall be the duty of persons interested to appear at the time and place appointed Valuations of irrigated lands near Echo Hermiston and Umatilla have been raised to place them on equality with other county lands G P Strain Assessor for Umatilla County There is more Catarrh in this section than all other diseases etc and a sales pitch for a cure follows
