Scenic art triumph at Happy Canyon program setting
A Pendleton patron praises the Happy Canyon Pavilion setting as a triumph of scenic art. Hoy Haley’s transformation of the stage in 2 1/2 seconds hides a frontier village with real evergreen trees and a snowy peak backdrop. The new scenery, costing over a thousand dollars, is crafted by Pacific coast’s best scene painter to blend with the performance.
