The state board met to elect a manager for the fair grounds for the next year and chose Don Homyer for the post starting October 1 at a salary of 600 per year with duties including keeping the grounds in order and overseeing crops. The board discussed improvements and plans for the 1906 state fair, including expanding exhibit space, purchasing property, and boosting overall success.
