Child Scalded Dies After Tub Of Boiling Water Accident
Anna Junger seven year old daughter of Mr and Mrs C A Junger died after falling into a tub of boiling water on a porch. The mother had lifted a boiler from the range to the floor when the child ran by, slipped and sat down in the water scalding her body and limbs from the knees to the throat. She suffered about fifteen hours before death.

Postal rates to drop and new foreign rate set
Beginning October 1 the new foreign postal rate from the latest international postal convention in Rome will take effect. Foreign mail to most countries will be 4 cents for the first half ounce and 3 cents for each additional half ounce, replacing 10 cents per ounce. Canada Mexico and Cuba remain at 2 cents per half ounce domestic rate. The only major change is the new tiered foreign rate.
