Large Idaho cattle shipment from Holt and Rhodes
From Idaho Holt and Rhodes delivered one of the largest cattle shipments to the railroad in central Idaho. Nine hundred sixty head of beef cattle for shipment to Seattle weighed about 1200 pounds each, ages 3 and 4 years. The beasts were judged to be the finest of beef cattle ever brought from the Salmon river country. A second large shipment is planned in a few weeks as alfalfa grows well for winter feed. The P N road has driven up land prices, with renters seeking higher rents.
