Man Shotself After Wild Night of Gambling and Drinking
J M Stewart of Walla Walla killed himself with a .38 pistol at Main and Webb after a spree that spent about 200 dollars. Witnesses testified to heavy drinking and gambling at several saloons including Hemns and Hein's. The coroner's jury returned a verdict of death by own hand. Stewart left a wife and several children and was a local business owner recently working in wood and coal.
