Fire destroys Red River Lumber stock valued at a million

Westwood dispatches report a fire causing about one million dollars in damage to two thirds of the Red River Lumber Co stock and threatening the plant. The summer yards burned for several hours and vast timber under threat was destroyed. Fire under control at ten this morning confined to the lumber yards.

British Officers Open Recruiting Campaign Here

Lt J R Hornet of the British army recruiting service with Sergeant Major Henning will conduct a Beltiah empire recruitment drive in Mendieton at the Commercial club rooms. Enlistments target ages 18 to 45 and candidates must be British subjects with eligibility. The effort, led by General White, follows a months long Canadian force recruitment push and faces limited assurances for later service.

Arrested Men Who Duped Local Folk
