At 9 30 this morning the regular September term of court convened and a new grand jury was selected. Naturalization was issued to several foreigners and the first case on the docket Fletcher v Wagner went to trial. The criminal docket will be reached tomorrow with two cases set. The grand jury includes Hodgen Watson Livengood Newman Wen Beddow and Wallace with Livengood chosen foreman. No cases were heard then. Ed Jones pled guilty to simple larceny after indictment for grain theft and the court will pass sentence tomorrow. Tomorrow the State cases against Grant Saline and Tom Jones, both assault charges, will come up.
