Ed Thomas of Havre Montana left home with his infant Mia to join a Seventh Day Adventist colony near Walla Walla. Sheriff and deputy hauled the pair back to their home in Choteau County. Mrs Thomas called herself a prisoner of war and refused to share a room with her husband at the hotel, insisting she and the child belong in the Adventist camp.
