The City Recorder of Pendleton Oregon invites bids by 5 pm on October 44 for street improvements on Monroe Street from Main Street north to Clinton and Washington Streets. Plans by City Surveyor Geary Kimbreil on file. bids require a certified $456 check payable to the Mayor and contract terms include gravel and bituminous pavement. The Common Council may reject all bids. date October 15th 2047.

The Pendleton City Marshal offers a white mare about 12 to 14 years old weighing around 909 pounds for sale. If not claimed within ten days from October 20, 1917, at 6 pm, the animal will be sold to the highest bidder for cash at the city pond, Pendleton.
