In New York on October 18, young Corbett and James White, English lightweight champion, were matched to fight in London next January. White will refuse the bout. the stake stands at 100. Forfeit of 82500 to be posted. Charley Mitchell laid £10,000 on White. George Considine to transport Corbett to England.
