Weed Road Sold to California-Northeastern Railway
The Weed railroad changed hands for 300000 dollars in cash, with delivery finalizing last week. California-Northeastern Railway, led by E D Dunn, now controls the line while A D Evans remains in charge of lumber operations. Kinmat h Falls voters had offered a 100000 bonus to extend the Weed road to their city, and regional railroad officials previously inspected the line. Work on the extension proceeds slowly due to labor shortages and ads seeking more workers.
