Third quota departs American Lake from Umatilla county

Boy Killed Under Wagon On Farm Ride

A 12 year old boy Rudolph Benjamin Herman Bottke died instantly when he fell from a hay wagon and was run over in Coomba Canyon. The accident occurred on his parents farm as the gate was being opened. The wheels crushed his head and neck. Dr. A H Hattery declared death instantaneous. The body was taken to the morgue and services were planned at the Presbyterian church. He was born in Wisconsin on May 1, 1904, survived by seven brothers and sisters.
