Nearly $500 000 of $600 000 needed for the West Side Sacramento Valley electric railroad was raised as Red Bluff and nearby towns push the project toward construction. Three survey routes are estimated to cost 4.7 to 5.1 million dollars, with preliminary work expected to start in ninety days.
