Casualty records show no native Pendleton man killed in action while serving in the United States forces. Several Pendleton youths, including Del Feown Tom Searcy Verne Boynton and PF. C. Parks, have been wounded. Joe Despain wounded in the foot after two years service. Pell Blancett and Mound-Up star Ife la re covering not in US forces but with Canadians. Harlow Cunningham Jr. is the first native Pendleton man to die in service, dying of pneumonia at Camp Lowes.
Oliver Treadeau died yesterday morning in 1863 at Wes Webb Street after a lingering illness. He was 35, formerly employed at the woolen mill, had been in Portland, returned six weeks ago to Pendon. Survived by brother and sister Mrs Laura Rom Beattie, Joseph Treadeau Pendleton, a half sister Mrs H A Behwhitehenberg Portland, and W L Ceverdale. Funeral tomorrow at 2 pm from Crown chapel. Wilson may go to Germany noted by Copenhagen report.
