In Seattle on November 28 a masked robber held up Mullen's gambling house across from the Post-Intelligencer office at 2 am, taking about 8000 in coin. He used an air shooter and was aided by a second man posing as a joker player. The pair escaped before police were alerted as the crime was described as legal gambling.
Washington Woolgrowers Association loses authority to apportion ranges on the Palmar forest reserve as Commissioner Binger Hermann cites violations of reserve regulations by some sheepmen. A meeting called by Superintendent Sheller will discuss the matter, and future range applications will go to the superintendent.

Hiram Sukawateky, in New York, jumped from the seven story window of Mire’s apartment after shooting her in the shoulder. He believed he had killed Mire and refused her plea to elope. He died instantly on the pavement.
The annual report to the governor alleges vilest immorality in county jails of New Jersey. It cites male attendants serving female prisoners and no separate facilities for inmates, highlighting widespread abuse concerns across multiple facilities.
Madrid November 28 Senor Macho, noted anthropologist, is threatened with suppression of his magazine review on King Alfonso. In his physiognomical analysis Macho concludes the king shows a type of degeneracy, sparking controversy over the royal portrait.
Two Northern Pacific freight trains collided two miles west of Missoula Montana this morning. One unidentified worker was killed and five other trainmen were seriously injured in the wreck. Other regional items note educators meeting in Baltimore and a new dairy course at Oregon Agricultural College with modest fees.
