Underwood Wins in Post Office Typewriter Show
In a display at the postoffice competition, the Underwood typewriter matched the Smith-Premier in all points and outperformed it in visible writing, tabulator, ribbon changes, and easy cleaning. Huston defended the Smith-Premier double keyboard, but the single keyboard proved sufficient. Kees plans another trial if unavailable in the factory. The Underwood had previously won the grand prize at the St Louis exposition and sales followed.
