Cairo reports state troops arriving as three days of mob fury culminate in the lynching of a white man and a Black suspect in a fatal assault. The mob, numbering thousands, dragged victims from jail, hanged them from telegraph poles, and fired weapons as authorities sought to restore order amid lingering chaos.
In November 12 reports from Another Negro r Catro, a mob killed Will James, the suspected murderer of Mian Annie Peller. James was strung to a public arch at Eighth and Commercial, rope broke, and mob fired at him. His body was dragged and burned after witnesses and a crowd of about sixteen thousand watched. Arthur Alexander is sought as a second suspect.
An armed mob overpowered officers, captured a Black man, and swelled to thousands as searchers converged on Cairo. Sheriff Davis pleaded for life but was ignored as the mob carried the suspect toward the scene of action.
Spokane faces a union boycott from Thurke Idaho over an industrial clash. The chamber of commerce backs a citizen alliance and allocates 1900 to mobilize the national guard. In New Albany Indiana on November 12 an unidentified white man robbed the Merchants National Bank at noon ordering all to raise their hands and opened fire. Cashier J. W. Fawcett died and President J. K. Woodward was seriously injured. A youth chased the bandit to the river bank where he was identified to police. Facing capture the man took poison and died. He had come from Louisville by car.

Dispatches report a mob attacked the Platici council chamber in Rome. Many killed as troops defended the chamber and fires burned the buildings. Three women are among the injured. stones and knives were used. no cause is given.
State Food Commissioner Bailey Ingperts and Dr McClure inspected two local dairies in Pendleton yesterday. They announced plans to send a supervisor for two to three days to ensure compliance with state laws. One dairy was found in poor condition but still allowed to operate after required changes, while another’s future was uncertain. The move aims to clean up Pendleton’s milk supply statewide.
