Special session urged to fix tax law briefly

Cheyenne reports the governor will deny Tom Horn’s clemency and he will be hanged November 20. Friends plan a jail assault amid threats of a rapid-fire gun from cattle barons. The jail is heavily guarded after convict James escaped last night during a windstorm.

Logging train wreck injures six near Stella Wash

A logging train at Stella Wash ran away down the line injuring six men. George Weist of Stella and Mac Witeman of Portland were fatally hurt and died after being brought to a local hospital by morning.

San Domingo Rebels Besiege Capital After Night Assault

Rebels besieged Santo Domingo as government forces held, artillery used at night but caused no damage. Later, under a fog of truce, rebels demanded surrender but were refused. the city remained lightly fortified with ample provisions.

At the Federation of Labor convention Duncan read a report on strikes and letters with Roosevelt and Gomperts regarding the Miller case. Roosevelt's attitude drew sharp criticism. In Ckeloville Ohio November 11, Caubler Brown of the Holland Bank pleaded guilty to a defaulter indictment and was sentenced to seven years after fleeing to San Francisco. he pleaded not guilty to three other counts.
