Last Current Literature meeting and social events
The final Current Literature club gathering at Hawthorne Party on McKay creek featured hostess Mrs N E DeSpain with assistance from her daughters and a large guest list. Music, poetry, and performances accompanied lavender and white decorations. Separate social highlights included a wedding in Pendleton, a formal reception at Mrs EF Marshall’s North Side home, and Episcopal church ladies hosting Miss Julia Cc Emery with a warm reception and talks.
