Murphy Canal Completed Boosts Murphy lands irrigation
At a Murphy Land & Irrigation Co board meeting Charles Childs reported the canal and laterals are finished and water flows on the land. The main canal runs nine miles with 2500 feet of laterals. Plans include completing a reservoir. The farm at Murphy will become a premier sheep ranch with 25 acres stocked by W P Carter. Nearby, Mrs Moore seeks treatment while Dr Platt has an interest in the place.
