Two Stations in Eastern Oregon Planned by Regents
The Oregon Agricultural College board delays selecting a single site and recommends two dry land experiment stations in eastern Oregon. One in Harney County and another in the Sherman Gilliam wheat belt, with plans to fund both through private sources. Building work begins at the college with a four story central building, an armory, and a heating plant funded from last weekend’s appropriation. The project aims for partial completion by autumn and full readiness by the 1910 college year.
