The platform defers all national questions to St Louis and endorses a plank on street car fares.
The excursion steamer Queen Victoria carrying 800 aboard was found disabled in the Irish Sea after 24 hours at sea and towed back to port. In Salt Lake City Senator Dibble reports that the Washington Conference investigation will be pursued to the bitter end, but no action will occur before the election.

Wealthy Tacoma man Henry C Foote reportedly faced a personal crisis, taking a pistol route for unknown reasons near Chehalis Washington. He was an officer in the Bartlett Poote Company and a member of the Chehalis Concord MUK. The body was to be sent to Chicago for burial. His wife and son were in New York.
A Hood River based plan enlists a local expert to pick pack and market Echo fruit that would otherwise be wasted.
