Walla Walla May 16 Private W E K Dunlap of Fort Walla Walla was freed after acting in self defense in a shooting that killed his comrade Roberts. Marion county overcharged in divorce cases, totaling $970, and the county court ordered refunds of the excess fees collected over the past three years.

Acquitted in self defense after street shooting case
Yesterday afternoon in this city Fred Roberta was shot during a dispute with Panlap Dunlap outside military law. Dunlap fired when Roberta advanced in a threatening manner, claiming self defense. Justice Glaseford found self defense a valid plea and dismissed the charge of attempting to kill a comrade.
