Wool Market in Echo Firming as Growers Sell Clips

The Echo wool market shows firmer conditions with growers selling clips rather than waiting for sales days. Prices range from eight and a half to 13.5 cents per pound, about four cents below last year, buyers eager to pay current offers. Notable clips include M. S. Corrigal, Hubbard, and Pedro Bros, largely purchased by C. W. Ryder, while Stanfield’s clip remains unsold. Sheep sales rise, mainly yearlings, with buyers like R. F. Bickner paying 1.75 to 4.50 per head for yearlings and aged ewes from 1.25 to 2. Two-year-old wethers fetch 2 to 3.10. Sellers include Anton Vey, M. S. Corrigal, J. Keeney, Hynd Eros, and Mersra Wigeleeworth. No major shifts, growers just trim flocks with typical seasonal sales.
