East End Seeks Representation in County Commissioner Race
East End voters urge support for H. A. Williams of Mills Ten for County Commissioner and demand fair representation in the Republican primary. L. Dunning of the West End is his opponent alongside A. B. Benator and Hubert Stanfield on the ticket. Williams has 20 years in the county, municipal experience, and a road program to pace feeder roads to county trunk lines. The East End asks voters to back Williams and the East End slate for County Court representation.

Germany Began War to Obtain Territory
John Lewins spoke on The World War at the Methodist church last night. He argued Germany planned the war to gain territory, blamed German military writers for overconfidence, and claimed Germany sought to replace Christianity with a superior nationalism. He criticized Russia and Russia’s allies and warned against allowing Prussians or Russians in the United States for 50 years. He cited his war zone observations from months near the battle front.
