The Peoples Warehouse opened at 9 o clock with a crowded sale as buyers rushed to bargain counters. Some customers couldn t be waited on and left assurances they would return tomorrow, showing a lively shopping scene.
Lewis Bros. & Co. of Chicago runs the sale in Pendleton with daily returns promised. The promotion pledges bigger, better bargains than prior offerings and assures first class merchandise with no stock reserved. Opportunity is knocking, open the door for bargains until the goal is reached.
A 19th century letter from G. Lewis denounces rival Pendleton traders and urges sales staff to join a rapid discount event. He boasts that Lewis Bros. & Co. slashes prices to finish the sale in about two weeks, claiming strategic leadership and crowd pull.
A local store advertises a wide range of mens and boys clothing and accessories including suits top coats shirts collars cuffs ties suspenders socks underwear light shirts pajamas hats and shoes.
All descriptions of children and infants ready-to-wear garments shoes and furnishings are offered at deeply reduced prices. Every department features red hot cut slash sale items. Be here early tomorrow morning.
