Regord fruit crop expected in Milton Oregon
Milton Oregon May 7 preparations are under way for the harvest of the fruit crop. Frost danger is low due to cool, damp weather. Prospects are for the heaviest peach prune and apple crop the valley has seen. Aphids were feared but buds are too far advanced to be harmed. Many peaches will require thinning of 40 percent or more, a costly task beyond picking. Berry vines show large fruit and rapid maturity with sun.
