Pendleton businessmen and wives, 140 strong, traveled to the east end of the county and into Walla Walla. The group toured the Binlock orchard tracts, the Walla Walla Meat and Cold Storage plant, and planned visits to Whitman College, Fort Walla Walla, and local parks. A banquet at the Walla Walla Commercial Club featured welcomes from Attorney I. A. Garrecht and Mayor Tausick. The homeward leg includes stops at Milton-Freewater and Freewater, with trains due back in Pendleton around 8 to 9 PM.
