In Prairie near Bellingham Washington on March 31 rancher William Weeden wounded by gunshot died, after killing neighbors William Rinker and John Rinker and John Smyrth. He killed Smyrth in the barn then shot the Rinkers at their home, all residents of Prairie. He is at Everett hospital likely dying and believed to have gone insane after longstanding feuds.
