Suit in Field Estate Forecloses Mortgage in Pendleton
A suit filed at the courthouse names Security Savings & Trust Company as plaintiff seeking foreclosure of a mortgage on Pendleton real estate. W H Goltra is administrator of Hugh Fields estate with Dora E Fields and others as defendants, including Pendleton Savings Bank and Umatilla county. The action requests judgment for 452.71 plus interest and 250 in attorney fees, plus a decree canceling alleged taxes and declaring property rights. The note was for 2000 dated June 22, 1897, with only partial payment, and Fields died intestate in November 1901. The administrator is sought to be directed to satisfy the balance, preserve liens, and quiet title against disputed interests.
