West End Water Options for New Settlers
Two choices for a modern water system face West End settlers. A hill reservoir would cost more due to extended piping, while a standpipe and tank could meet all needs. Decisions soon, as residents push to finish a modern water system. Hermiston area trees are being planted, including 100000 locusts and about 76000 fruit trees on government irrigated lands. Settlers report high satisfaction with the reclaiming effort and growing horticulture prospects.
