Definite push planned to end Senate debate on treaty

Washington March 6 A definite move to end debate on the treaty is expected tomorrow in the Senate. Senators indicated a move to recommit the treaty to foreign relations committees or to bring up Article 10 immediately to reach core issues. The debate has drifted from procedural high ground to sharp language as Democrats weigh compromise on Article 16 drafted by Kellogg and transmitted from Lodge, hoping President Wilson will accept it. Senator Hitchcock asked President Wilson to receive a Democratic senator, promoting debate on Article 10 preservation and related positions.

Milton Girl Dies While at College In Seattle

Amanda Shields, daughter of Mr Shields of the Shields Prost company, died at the University of Washington Seattle from influenza that developed into spinal meningitis.
