Institute suits to recover land in Nevada
Reno June 27 an apedal from Carson says United States District Attorney Sam Platt instituted two suits in federal court against the Central Pacific Railroad Southern Pacific Railroad and the United States Trust Company of New York. The suits seek to compel forfeiture of patent land in Nevada for land patents allegedly issued on false affidavits and sworn statements declaring the lands non mineral. The land is in Washoe and Humboldt counties.
