Pacific Power and Light lineman PR M Skidmore was killed instantly by a fall from a pole near Milton while adjusting a belt. Farmer dragged by horse after tying rope to foot
Ben F. Palmer of 200 Mark street tried to outwit a bucking horse at his Cabbage Hill ranch by tying the rope to his foot. The horse bucked, Palmer was catapulted, dragged for a mile or more, suffering broken ribs and numerous scratches. His son stopped the animal. Dr J. A. Best treated Palmer. Palmer vowed to lead the horse next time.

Large cattle shipment arrives from Utah to Pendleton
Clarence Adams delivered one of the season’s largest cattle lots to Pendleton on Saturday night, about 500 two year old steers from Utah to be prepared for market on Adams range near Ukiah. Another 200 steers belong to Frank Bird and more shipments were unloaded at Huntington and Bunker, with prices around 34 dollars per head.
