In a New York report from the day before her death Charity Hayward of California altered a will to adjust the distribution of eight million dollars. The previous document left the entire estate to her New York child Mrs Aminew Roar, but the later will changes provisions.

Frank Kline a College Place resident was arrested by Sheriff Pacier and jailed on rape charges filed by Prosecuting Attorney Lester Wilson. The alleged victim is 11 year old Clara Dodge, daughter of Stephen Dodge. The crime is alleged to have occurred May 26. Kline, about 45, with wife and family, denies the accusation calling it a conspiracy.
