New Woman's Building Planned for Oregon Agricultural College
The Corvallis Times reports a new women’s building at Oregon Agricultural College to house 200 students and add a girls department. Built by H Snook of Salem, the Cas cade granite and Pioneer sandstone structure will cost 69345 dollars with completion by September 1 1907. It will sit on a scenic Corvallis elevation near the Hogg house, reconfigure the athletic field, and expand to 206 girls plus dressmaking home economics and music. Attendance last year showed 2117 girls and 623 boys, and the new facility aims to address the gender imbalance.
