Wyrick Machine Stolen From Home

Guy Wyrick reported his Buick parked in front of his Jackson Street home Saturday night with a machine stolen from the atrnat in the car. Sheriff T D Taylor pursues the case but no trace yet. This marks a second theft for the Wyrick family after a similar car theft occurred last summer. The machine was later recovered.

Cox and Wilson in accord on League of Nations issue

Washington July 19 Jim M Cox said he would endea vor with all my strength to keep the pledge to those who sacrificed for the great war. He spoke after a White House meeting with President Wilson and Franklin D Roosevelt who praised Cox and vowed united party and nation backing for the League of Nations. Cox praised the president and declared mutual understanding of the democratic platform and the duty to uphold war pledges. Roosevelt said Cox would have vigorous party and national support and endorsed the League goal. Cox added the president was at his best and that he would work to fulfill the wartime commitments, while Gov Cox presaged allied effort to win peace. Wilton later said he would help in the campaign but gave no detail of plans.
