Arrangements are made by the water commission to follow Prof Beckwith's recommendation to chemically treat water at the gate house before operation. Chloride of lime may be needed in liquid form. For three million gallons daily, 24 pounds of chloride jet lay will be needed. State bacteriologist Beckwith made recommendations yesterday which will be followed.
