Washington July 7 War department officials said the number of guardsmen eligible to discharge under the Haber order allowing retirement of married men with dependents will not exceed about one thousand. States will grant honorable discharges and must recruit replacements. A guardman seeking release must affidavit his family needs support. the commander will release him without further ceremony.
