In Atlantic City on July 7, aviators Atwood and Hamilton nearly drowned when their biplane plunged into the ocean shortly after takeoff from Washington, D. C. They were rescued and survived the incident.

Lawrenceville Georgia Albert Knieht Wis struck by a belt of lightning while plowing a field late Thursday afternoon.
