Lynching threats arise in Charleston as crowds target a black man for alleged insult to a white woman. In Los Angeles riots erupt near Jeffries home town after Reno events, with eight injured, tensions high and mixed crowds drinking.
Rioting broke out in Atlanta Georgia on July 6 as results of a fight became known. Many negroes were chased by the crowd in the chaotic scene.
In Mounds Newfoundland and Labrador on July 6 a man was killed and another critically wounded after an attempted confrontation night. Police say the incident began with an unclear altercation leading to gunfire. Victims and circumstances remain under investigation.
In Bossemer City Park a clash between white and Black crowds over the Jeffries Johnson fight left Max Irwin and J A Moore stabbed in the back. Twenty five others were slightly hurt as a 2000 strong crowd gathered. Police had no arrests and Irwin and Moore are expected to recover.
Clashes erupted in several city sections last night following Johnson's victory over Jeffries, pitting white and Black crowds in renewed tensions amid celebrations and unrest in Philadelphia.

From Petersburg July 5 reports say riots erupt across southwestern Rustia as officials enforce sanitary laws and cholera plagues many areas. Peasants fear mistreatment of the sick, refuse doctors visits, and hide patients, with hundreds already dead and more falling as the plague advances.
Disaster aboard the Twentieth Century Limited and a Cincinnati section freight train near Middleton Ohio leaves 21 dead and many injured. Authorities say a misunderstanding of orders caused the collision as the fast passenger train hit the freight while both crews escaped. Rescue teams aided by Middleton station personnel rushed to the wreckage as investigators prepare a state inquiry.
At the Caummoerciil club monthly meeting this evening the county division committee report will be submitted for approval. Col. 4 H Raley, committee chair, will present. President W J Thompson urges full attendance by members and invites nonmembers and local businessmen to attend. Invitations extended to other Pinces county towns. Likely representation from Weston and other anti division towns.
