Episcopals Meet in Portland Diocese Reelects Clerk
The fifteenth annual Protestant Episcopal convention of Oregon met at Trinity Church in Portland with full clergy and lay attendance. Bishop B W Morris delivered the annual address noting 212 confirmations, three new churches, six new congregations, and gains in diocesan schools and Good Samaritan hospital totals. Potwine reelected secretary and Van Fridagh treasurer. The body discussed naming reforms, church structure, clergy welfare, and a potential merger of diocesan groups, with resolutions of sympathy for Heppner and plans to fund rebuilding.
