Northern Bank and Trust Company failed to open this morning in Seattle after a state bank examiner probe. Loans on German interests, some made before the war, and slow loan returns are cited as causes. Total liabilities run about 1.6 million dollars with assets around 1.1 million.
Cleveland dispatch reports the Saint Ignatus seismograph recorded the severest quake in two years from 10 to 11 30 last night. Father Odenbach said the quake was seven thousand miles distant.
Peter Magnant of San Francisco stopped in Pendleton en route home after visiting Lewiston and Thaho. He produced plaster casts from two latent Proctor productions and one head from Janice Sundown, a noted bronc rider, for use in future works. Proctor has recovered from illness and plans to attend the Camp Fire Club annual meeting in New York on February 7.

London June 20 The third allied conference seeking Entente cooperation meets in Petrograd with focus on Russia strengthening the eastern front. Reversal of German advances is suggested by recent signals as British and French representatives discuss strategy and colonial ministers alongside Russian officials.
