Salary details were not specified and were telegraphed to her. If satisfied, she will assume duties February first. Administratrix Discharged. Annie Melntyre, administratrix, was discharged after filing a final report and distributing the estate of Daniel P Melntyre deceased.
Pleasant Armstrong was hanged in Baker County jailyard for murdering his sweetheart at Hayes on Christmas Eve 102. He shouted I forgive you all as the trap set, received absolution from a Catholic priest, and died five minutes after the drop. His brothers watched but did not attend inside the enclosure.
In Beatile on January 22 a local inquiry was launched after a lodge, with two members affected, engaged inspectors to pursue action. The matter was directed to involve Secretary Cortelyou for federal review and a full examination of the procedure.
